Body Floyd County basketball was on fire this past week. Lockney hosted the Lady Rabbits and Jackrabbits from Ralls, and both Lockney squads finished the night with a win.

Body Nathanael Garza, a senior at Floydada Collegiate High School, is the son of Lionel Garza, Sr., and Laura Garza. He has been a part of the Floydada FFA for three years.
CANS COLLECTED Last Friday night, Jan. 28, canned goods were collected at the basketball game between Floydada and Lockney. Mia Snowden was able to collect $138 in items from Floydada fans and $124 in items from Lockney fans. Each team scored two touchdowns and Floydada scored an extra touchdown for donating the most last Friday night. Thanks go to all who donated. The next matchup will be at the monthly 4-H meeting on Monday, Feb. 7. COURTESY PHOTO
