Body The Texas Tech Credit Union Board of Directors and Executive Management Team are pleased to announce the Ellen Hein Scholarship Recipient is Alfonzo Mendoza, a 2017 graduate of Floydada CISD. Mendoza is a senior at Texas Tech University majoring in Civil Engineering.

Body The Floydada Lady Winds started district play off in stunning fashion and out-rebounded the Lady Horns for the win to start 1-0. Overall the Lady Winds had a 17 rebound advantage led by Junior Lailah Burks, seconded by senior Erin Trevino and sophomore Sierra Snowden.

Body Simon Hernandez of Floydada was named to the South Plains College fall 2021 President’s List. Hernandez was among more than 350 students named to the fall 2021 list. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 4.0 and complete a minimum of 12 credit hours.
