Places still availabe in South Plains College phlebotomy courses

Body Spaces are still available in the upcoming Basic Phlebotomy class at South Plains College. The class starts Monday (Feb. 14) from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.and will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays in Room 124 of the Technical Arts Building. Enrollment is limited to 10 students.

Lighthouse Electric to hold annual Youth Tour contest

Body The annual Lighthouse Electric Cooperative Youth Tour speech contest will take place on Saturday, February 26 at the Floydada office. Two winners will receive an expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C. and a $1,500 scholarship.
SENIOR NIGHT Gabriella Cervantes and Miranda Sarinana were honored as part of the Lady Horns’ Senior Night. Cervantes culminated her high school career, scoring her 1,000th point in the 3rd quarter of play in their 4th district win, 38–31. Body Admittedly being someone who cries easily, Olympic gold medalist Tamyra Mensah-Stock wasn’t ready for what she walked into when she stopped by Plainview’s City Hall on Monday morning. “I just stopped in to say hi,” she said, tears rolling down her cheeks.
