Tracy A. Adams, age 58, of Lockney, Texas, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at the First Baptist Church in Lockney with Jacob West officiating.

Interment followed at the Plainview Memorial Park. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Lockney. Arrangements were under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Lockney.

Tracy was born November 13, 1964 to Johnny Ray and Pat “Patsy” Mae Adams in Plainview, Texas.

She graduated from Lockney High School in 1983 and studied at Wayland Baptist University.

Her family was her purpose in life. She loved spending time and playing games with her son, nieces, great-nieces and great-nephew, and other family and friends. Tracy was known as Aunt Cee Cee to some of her nieces. She never passed up an opportunity to visit no matter the time of day. She truly loved her animals—they were her fur babies, and she also enjoyed bird watching.

Tracy is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Ray Adams and Pat “Patsy” Mae Anderson Adams; her brother, Johnny Wayne Adams, and her sister, Cindy Lea Adams; as well as her grandparents, William Virgil Adams, Ruby Lee Adams, Jessie Marie Anderson Leach and step-granddad, J. W. Leach.

Those left to cherish Tracy’s memory are her son, Stevie Ray Adams Karlin of Lockney, and sister, Tammy Adams of Lockney; her niece Misty Villa and husband, Davie Villa, of Lockney; and niece Windy Webb and husband, Randy Webb, of Plainview; great-nieces Joey (Niki) Cantu of Lockney, RayLee Webb of Plainview, and Shaylea and Shaybrea Villa, both of Lockney, and great-nephew, Westin Webb, of Plainview; Uncle Gordon Adams and Aunt Dimple Adams of Lockney, and Aunt Ruby Adams of Plainview; cousins Justin Adams of Lubbock, Daylin Adams of Lubbock, Tarrent Adams of Seattle, Washington, Dylan Adams of Lockney, Janie Archer of Lockney, Jana Quisenberry of Tulia, Anthony Samsel of Tulia, Makayla Fabela of Tulia; and numerous other cousins and friends. Some extended family include Dwight Wilson of Lockney, Russell Jarrett of Plainview, Chris McCready of Lubbock, Tristen Johnson of Lockney, Donna Webb of Lockney, Robert and Audrey Webb of Lockney, and Danny Huggins of Lockney.

She will be dearly missed by many other family and friends as well.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tracy’s honor to the Diabetic Foundation of the High Plains and South Plains Kidney Foundation.
