OBITUARIES
Our dear father, Pedro L. Salazar, known as Pete, sadly passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023 at the age of 93.
He was a wonderful father who was always there when we needed him. He fought a good fight and finished his race at Covenant Health in Lubbock.
A Mass of Christian burial was held at 10 a.m., Thursday, October 26, 2023 at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Floydada with Father Nahum Lopez officiating.
Interment is to follow at the Floydada Cemetery. Visitation was held Wednesday, October 25, 2023 in the chapel of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada. Rosary was recited at 6 p.m.
Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.
Pedro was born January 31, 1930 in Missouri City, Texas, to Enrique and Juanita Salazar.
In 1955, he married his wife, Sally Delgado Salazar, and she was a blessing to his life for 68 years. Pedro, aka Pete, was a very dedicated parishioner active in Christian activities. During his time here on Earth, he made many, many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Enrique and Juanita Salazar; a son, Pete Salazar, Jr.; a daughter, Elvia Salazar; two grandsons, Scott Salazar and Samuel Alexander Salazar; and four sisters, Lupe Hinojosa, Tila Perez, Pauline Baca, and Ninfa Martinez.
Pedro is survived by his loving wife, Sally Salazar; his children, Sammy (Liz) Salazar, Oscar Salazar, Dalia (Fernando) Arvizu, Danny (Cecilia) Salazar, and Samantha (Matt) Escalon; and his brother, Blackie Salazar. Pete was also blessed with six grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren.
Those who believe in Jesus Christ will never say goodbye for the last time. “We Love You Dad!”
