Connie Luna, 70, of Floydada, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 in Floydada.

A Mass of Christian burial was held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 6, 2024 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Floydada. Father Thomas officiated.

Interment followed at the Floyd County Memorial Park in Floydada.

Viewing was held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, July 5, 2024 and Rosary was recited at 6 p.m. at Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.

Arrangements were under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Floydada.

Connie was born May 15, 1954 in Littlefield, Texas, to Salvador and Leandra Barrientos.

Connie was raised in Floydada, where she met and married her high school sweetheart, Robert. Robert and Connie were married on August 30, 1972. Together they had six children, Kathy, Bobby, Jennifer, Felisha, Kayla and Kimberly.

Connie was a stay-at-home mom and a homemaker. She loved to listen to music, dance and spend time with her family. She was the life of the party. Connie especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and making funny TikToks with them. Connie was her grandkids’ biggest supporter and attended every game or school event that she could. She was the best Nana in the world.

She is preceded in death by her parents Salvador and Leandra Barrientos; four brothers, Manuel Juarez, Sr., Trinidad Juarez, Estevan Juarez, Joe Barrientos, Sr. and Manuel Barrientos, Sr.; three sisters, Frances Juarez, Virginia Love and Maria Elena Cisneros; her husband, Robert Luna; her daughter Katherine Luna, and two greatgranddaughters, Heaven Faith and Nevaeh Hope Segura.

Connie is survived by her children Bobby Luna and Jennifer Luna (Damon) of Lubbock, Felisha Cavazos and Kayla Luna (Joseph) of Floydada and Kimberly Luna (Bill) of Wyalusing, Pennsylvania; three brothers, Salvador Barrientos, Jr., Louie Barrientos and Tiofilo Juarez, Sr.; two sisters, Hope Lopez and Norma Jimenez; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
