LUBBOCK— Hanna Nicole Hernandez, age 20, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the First Baptist Church in Floydada, Texas. Interment followed at the Floydada Cemetery.
Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, February 10, 2023 at Moore-Rose Funeral Home.
Arrangements were under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.
Hanna was born on April 5, 2002 in Lockney, Texas. Hanna had many passions in life, whether it was playing basketball, involvement in FFA, or just being a social butterfly. Hanna loved all of her family and friends. She was everyone’s biggest cheerleader. Hanna was a naturalborn caregiver and was always there for you with encouragement and a smile. Her most cherished accomplishment was becoming a mom to her beautiful Addison. Hanna’s love for Addison was greater than anything. The joy that Addison brought to Hanna is undeniable.
Hanna is preceded in death by her grandmother, Virginia Dechant; great-grandparents Rainey and Shirley Varner; and great-grandfather Gunter Dechant.
Those left behind to cherish Hanna’s wonderful memory are her daughter, Addison Garcia; Emilio Garcia; parents, Aaron Hernandez and Jovana and Amanda and David Johnston; siblings, Jerrick Graves, Krystyna Hernandez, Alexzander James Hernandez, Sierra Johnston, Jacob Johnston, Emily Johnston, Blake Arebalo, and Payton Arebalo; grandparents Phil and Rita Green, Jessie and Aurora Johnston, Ismael and Tina Arevalo, James and Maria Dechant, Trudy Dechant, Alfredo and Maria Martinez, Tony and Vivian Hernandez, Katelyn, Sophia, Tony Jr., Chris and Melinda Dechant, Megan and Tyler, Sabrina and Bobby Emert and April and Mya Arevalo; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Now eternally grateful God accepts sweethearts.
