Body boards in Floyd County are now accepting applications for candidates to run for city councils and school boards, as of January 18. The deadline for candidates to file is Friday, February 17. In municipal elections, the following positions will be on the May 6 ballot.

Annual water level measurements taking place throughout district

Body High Plains Underground Water Conservation District field technicians are now making annual water level measurements, according to a press release by the conservation district. This is to determine the effects of the past year’s pumping from the aquifers in the district.
