Lockney ISD presents “One Pill Can Kill” for families at elementary school

Body LIZ ADAMS | HESPERIAN-BEACON Through collaboration with the Texas Anti-Gang Center, a presenter from the Lubbock Police Department will visit Lockney ISD at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 13 to talk with students and families about the dangers of fentanyl and substance abuse.

Whirlwinds host Olton for district opener

Body The Floydada Whirlwinds will host the Olton Mustangs for their district opener on Friday, Oct. 10. Floydada had last week off for their bye week. The Whirlwinds hope to secure their first victory of the season and begin their push towards the playoffs.
