HONOR BAND 100% Congratulations go to the following Lockney High School Band students who made Region Honor Band (1A-4A) this month. The Honor Band audition uses college-level music, and all five of the students who competed for Lockney were selected. Band members were Aryssa Garcia, flute; Johnny Rodriguez, French horn; Daniel Alvarado, trumpet; Noah Gonzales, tuba; and Bryson Klein, percussion. Klein also earned All-Area honors and qualified to audition for All-State Band on Jan. 11, 2025. Regular All-Reg

Lady Winds JV basketball team brings home first place trophy from Hale Center tournament

Body The Floydada Lady Winds Junior Varsity basketball team played in the Hale Center tournament Dec. 5–7 and came home with the first-place trophy. They won against Hale Center 40-28, New Home 26-18, Hale Center 34-24 and Olton 43-32.
