FLOYDADA— Reta Loraine Pierce, age 92, of Floydada passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, January 13, 2023 at the First Baptist Church in Floydada. Mark Snowden officiated. Interment followed at the Floyd County Memorial Park in Floydada.
Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.
Arrangements were under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home.
Reta was born on September 9, 1930 in Crosby County, Texas, to Arthur and Toni Robertson. Reta attended Floydada High School. She worked at First National Bank in Floydada for many years before she retired in 2002.
Reta had many hobbies she enjoyed, such as gardening, taking care of the plants at the Bee Hive Homes, and spending time with family and friends. She loved the Texas Tech Red Raiders, the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes.
Reta was a member of the First Baptist Church in Floydada.
She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Pierce; her parents, Arthur and Toni Robertson; three brothers; and two sisters.
Those left to cherish the wonderful memory of Reta Pierce are her two sons, Steve and wife Kay Pierce of Matador, Texas, and Stan and wife Pam Pierce of Idalou, Texas; a daughter, Beverly, and husband, Norman Self, of Princeton, Texas; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Zeke and wife, Linda Robertson, of San Antonio, Texas.
