Lockney’s Old Maroon Saloon kicks off karaoke night

Body STAFF REPORTSLast weekend, Lockney’s Old Maroon Saloon invited locals to its first Saturday night of karaoke.This is a new event for the establishment, and owner Dustin Huggins said he plans to try it out and gauge interest over the next few weeks.

Masen Rehkopf from Lockney High School, and Tyrean Henderson and Sergio Valadez from Floydada High School, participated in the game held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Lowrey Field in Lubbock. Floydada and Lockney pools open for summer 2025

Body LIZ ADAMS | HESPERIAN-BEACON Both the Floydada city swimming pool and the Lockney swimming pool are now open for the summer.The pool in Floydada opened May 25 and will be open from noon to 5 p.m. every day except Mondays until the end of the season.
