Body As temperatures warm up, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service experts urge Texans to stay alert for stinging caterpillars. These fuzzy, or sometimes spiky, insects may seem harmless but can cause itchy rashes, intense pain and severe reactions requiring medical attention.
