Body Floydada Coop Gin ginned the first bale of cotton in Floydada and Floyd County on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025 at 12:10 p.m.The dryland cotton was grown by producers S&J Farms (Steve Lloyd and Shane Lloyd), on the Home Place Dryland farm. The landlord is Lloyd Bypass Trust.

Body AUSTIN— Acting Texas Comptroller Kelly Hancock today said state sales tax revenue totaled $3.97 billion in September, 3.2 percent more than in September 2024. The majority of September sales tax revenue is based on sales made in August and remitted to the agency in September.
