The Floydada Whirlwinds traveled to Smyer last week for their third game of the season. Floydada entered the week hoping to earn back-to-back victories following their win over Lockney in the Floyd County Championship.Floydada controlled most of the game.

Sue was appointed to the District 1 seat on the board at the board’s regular meeting this week. The seat was previously held by Roger Hughes. Sue is a Floydada alumnus and owns Goen & Goen Insurance.
