Body Cumulative Upland Cotton marketings for the first three months of the 2021 marketing year totaled 1.625 million bales according to information released November 30 by the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service.

Floyd County designated eligible for USDA natural disaster relief

Body Earlier this month Floyd County was listed among 17 contiguous counties and six primary counties in parts of Texas eligible for natural disaster emergency assistance due to a triggering disaster of excessive moisture that occurred during May 1 through Sept. 30, 2021.

USDA provides additional pandemic assistance to hog producers

Body WASHINGTON, D.C.— The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced a new program to assist hog producers who sold hogs through a negotiated sale during the period in which these producers faced the greatest reduction in market prices due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
