4th IN UIL DEBATE Floydada sophomores Jenna Martinez and Braeden Ramirez represented the Whirlwind UIL speech and debate program in district competition Feb. 10. The duo finished in fourth place, scoring ten points towards spring academic totals. Body The Texas University Interscholastic League (UIL) on Monday, Feb. 2, released its realignments for football, basketball and volleyball—and both Floydada CISD and Lockney ISD have significantly different football districts for the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
