Body Jackie Lou Frizzell Holt was born in 1943 to Jack and Lucille Frizzell in the Lone Star Community in north Floyd County. She and her three siblings, David, Mamba and Joy, were raised on a cotton farm in Lone Star.

Body Philip D. Smitherman has proudly been a lifelong resident of Floyd County. He was born on the family farm in South Plains on October 18, 1933, making him 90 years old. Philip’s parents were E.P. (Ernest) Smitherman and Ruth Childress Smitherman.
