Irma Candelara Ibarra, age 70, of Floydada, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 12 p.m., Friday, September 22, 2023 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church.
Interment followed at the Floydada Cemetery. Visitation was held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday, September 20, 2023 and September 21, 2023, with Rosary recited at 7 p.m., Thursday, September 21, 2023 in the Moore-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Floydada.
Arrangements were under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Floydada.
Irma was born on February 2, 1953 to Perfecto and Thomasa (Parra) Deleon in Laredo, Texas.
She married the love of her life, Jesse Ibarra, Sr. She was a homemaker and wonderful wife and mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to do scratch off lottery tickets, cook and bake. She enjoyed dancing with her husband and most of all, spending time with all her family.
She is preceded in death by her great-nephew, Johnny Thomason, on September 2023 and her mother, Thomasa Deleon, in 2012; her in-laws, Juan Ibarra, in 2017 and San Juana Ibarra, in 2009.
She is survived by her husband, Jesse Ibarra, Sr.; her children, Frankie Ibarra, Jesse Ibarra and wife, Cindy, and Michelle Rosa and husband, Navidad, all from Floydada; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Rocha and husband, Francisco, Jesse Ibarra and wife, Bianca, Chelsea Alvarez and husband, Jonathan, Jose Guzman, Marivel Guzman, J Guzman, Ethan Ibarra and wife, Madison; 18 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Perfecto Deleon Jr., Juan Deleon and Martin Deleon; her sister, Maria Segovia; as well as many nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by many family and friends.
