Barton Collier Cooper, 69, passed away peacefully at his home in Cimarron, Kansas, on May 13, 2025.
Born on July 27, 1955, in Lockney, Texas, Barton was the son of Jerry and Faye (Mauldin) Cooper.
Barton is survived by his son, AJ, and AJ’s mother Joan Heeke-Cooper, both of Cimarron, as well as his three stepsons, Alex, Chris and Curt and their families. Barton is also survived by his mother and stepfather, Faye and Bill Chapman; two sisters, Kathy McDonough and husband, Kevin, and Lisa Hudson and husband, John; and his stepmother, Elsa Cooper.
In accordance with Barton’s wishes, he was cremated. A graveside service will take place on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in Lockney Cemetery.
