Russ proudly served as an ordained deacon, first at Hampton Road Baptist, DeSoto, and later First Baptist Willow Park, Willow Park. Russ was a student of his Bible, spending time daily in devotional and God’s word.

During the past years Russ found joy in West Texas, enjoying the wide-open spaces, photographing and sharing pictures with his “community.” It was there he completely refurbished his father-in-law’s 1953 Ferguson tractor. Russ also previously completed the task of total restoration of his dad’s 1961 Ford F-100.

Russ and Pamela married March 10, 1984. They enjoyed 39 years of life, marriage and travel in the U.S. and to numerous foreign countries.
