Longhorns at the Gruver Tournament, Lady Horns set to begin district play

Body The Lockney Longhorns basketball squad participated in the Gruver Tournament last week. The Longhorns entered the tournament wanting to build momentum towards the district portion of their schedule. Lockney defeated Wheeler 68-48 after falling to Spearman 76-31.

Lockney ISD announces powerlifting rules, polices for athletes, fans

Texas A&M Agrilife to host annual Caprock Crop Production Conference

Body Texas A&M Agrilife will host its 33rd annual Caprock Crop Production Conference on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026 at the Floyd County Friends Unity Center in Muncy (990 FM 786, Lockney).The meeting will begin with coffee and donuts with exhibits available during registration at 7 a.m.

AgriLife Extension offers pesticide applicator training in Amarillo
