LOCKNEY OLD-FASHIONED DAY

Body Downtown festivities began at Lockney’s annual Old-Fashioned Day at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday with a book sale and craft vendors. The Runyan Ranch Mobile Zoo and the Cowboy Train Ride were popular family attractions.

’50s SOCK HOP DAY AT BEE HIVE

Body 1950 SOCK HOP PARTY was held on Friday, Aug. 26 for the residents at the BeeHive at Shepherd’s Meadow Assisted Living Center as they went back in time reminiscing back to the 50’s. The staff worked all week preparing for the 1950’s party. Each resident was sent an invitation.

Body The South Plains Hobby Club met at The South Plains Baptist Church in South Plains, Texas August 11, 2021. President Helen Teeple called the meeting to order. This was our late planning meeting because of Covid-19. Helen took care of business.

Roadside fairy gets around

Body Fairy gifts. A friend of a friend coined that term for all the stuff you find along public roads. Sofa cushions top the list. I don’t brake for sofa cushions. Other items catch my eye. My latest acquisition is a length of eight-inch PVC pipe, one jagged end.
