Abbott lays out seven top priorities

Body TEXAS PRESS ASSOCIATION Gov. Greg Abbott, in a State of the State address last Thursday, outlined his seven top priorities for the ongoing legislative session before an invitation-only audience at a manufacturing facility in San Marcos, the Austin American-Statesman reported.

Peasant bread

Body recognition of late. It’s simple, quick, and inexpensive to make. And it contains very few ingredients. So why not? It deserves the recent surge in popularity. I would typically make the bread in a loaf pan, but I admired the idea I saw for baking it in glass bowls.

Eggs-actly which, brains or bacon?

Body Eggs. I’ve got four brown ones from the real chickens of a chicken lady. Originally there were six. I’ve eaten two. At today’s egg prices, nothing beats friendship with a chicken lady. There’s a one-egg omelet in my near future. EGG BREAK.

Abbott issues disaster declaration, seeks fed help

Body AUSTIN— Gov. Greg Abbot has issued a disaster declaration for Texas counties affected by the early February ice storm and is seeking a federal declaration as well for areas in Southeast Texas affected by rare January tornadoes.
