Body LEVELLAND—South Plains College will give area high school seniors a preview of college life during the annual Senior Sneak Preview set for Feb. 10 (Friday) on the Levelland campus. The half-day event begins with registration at 9 a.m. in the Texan Dome.

Body The #14 ranked Floydada Whirlwinds varsity basketball had a huge win over Sudan Friday night, besting the Hornets 116-27 at home. Friday night’s victory brought the Whirlwinds to a 24-5 season record and 6-1 in District 4-2A.

Floydada girls lose close one to Sudan in overtime

Body The Floydada Lady Winds varsity girls basketball team lost a close district game to district-leading Sudan 60-56 at home on Friday. After trailing the ‘Nettes at halftime, 27-19, the Lady Winds rallied and took over the lead in the third quarter, 36-34.
