Body DOUG HENSLEY | HESPERIAN-BEACONFor Floydada, a week off didn’t mean a week of inactivity.The Whirlwind baseball team has spent its time constructively, getting ready for their final two series of the season and keeping their eyes firmly focused on qualifying for the playoffs.
EVENLY MATCHED “From pitching to hitting to scoring runs, we (and Sundown) were even in everything,”said Floydada head coach Armando Morales after each team took away a win in last week’s series. “They have a good solid team, and it was a playoff-like atmosphere for both games.” The Lady Winds hit seven home runs in their series with Sundown. | FLOYDADA YEARBOOK.
