Whirlwinds clinch district championship
The Floydada Whirlwinds baseball team hosted the Wellington Skyrockets on April 14. The Whirlwinds entered the game tied for first place in the district standings.
The Whirlwinds took an early 4-1 lead after the second inning. Wellington scored seven runs in the top of the fourth to take the lead. Floydada then regained the lead by scoring two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.
