WHIRLWINDS TAKE NEW DEAL THE DISTANCE IN 30-27 LOSS
The last football game of the season started the way Floydada wanted, but it just didn’t end the way the Whirlwinds had hoped.
A first-quarter perfectly executed 61-yard screen pass from Ty Henderson to John Paul Lopez put Floydada up 6-0, but the New Deal Lions were able to run out the clock on their final drive, eking out a 30-27 victory.
