    The Floydada baseball team opened its final week of the regular season on a strong note with a Senior Night victory over Hale Center, but the Whirlwinds fell short of recording a sweep a few days later.

    “We played well overall; we just had a few errors in the second game that hurt us,” said head coach Danny Brittain. “We gave them a couple of runs as a result, but we played well other than that.”
