The 100th Floyd County Championship is in the books, and the Floydada Whirlwinds are the victors.
The intensity grows yearly for one of the longest rivalry football contests in the state. One could call it Floyd County’s Super Bowl. As the final buzzer blared in Charles Tyler Stadium, the Winds fans and players were ecstatic about their 46–6 win over the Lockney Longhorns.
