West Texas cotton crop looks to do well this season

    Although some planted late in 2021, many area cotton growers are expecting a good harvest this year. Among local gins, Lockney’s D&J began ahead of most, starting on their first bale Oct. 8. Owners David and Jody Foster have already ginned more than 500 bales. Many in the region are anticipating an excellent crop.
