Floydada resident claims $1 Million scratch ticket prize

Body AUSTIN — A Floydada resident claimed a top prize winning ticket worth $1 million in the Texas Lottery scratch ticket game Million Dollar Loteria, according to the Texas Lottery Commission June 17. The ticket was purchased at Hop In #2, located at 102 S. 2nd St., in Floydada.

Floyd County Memorial Library reading program continues summer-long

Body The Golden Ticket 25 Book Summer Reading Challenge has begun at the Floyd County Memorial Library. Children in grades 1-12 started signing up and checking out books June 1 at both the Floydada and Lockney branches, but there is still time to join the fun.
