White-tailed deer population looks strong ahead of archery-only season opener

Body Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) biologists say that 2021-22 is expected to be a whitetailed deer season for the books. Last year, the overall white-tailed deer population was estimated to be 5.4 million deer.

Body All Lockney alumni are invited to stop by the Center on Friday, Oct. 1 and Saturday, Oct. 2 for homecoming activities. The Center will be closed on Monday, Oct. 4. Also, we there will NOT be breakfast served on Monday, Oct. 1 or Friday, Oct. 8.

Body The Center is now open three days a week. We are serving lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We offer dine-in, carry-out or delivery. On Wednesdays we will be selling meals to go for $5. Meals on Tuesdays and Thursdays are $7.
