Texas FFA announces election of new state officers for 2022–23

Body On July 15, the Texas FFA Association announced the election of its new state officers for the 2022–23 school year. These twelve students will represent Texas FFA starting in the fall.

Floydada Band leaders named

Body Congratulations go to the 2022-2023 “Spirit of the Winds Marching Band” leadership team. Please note, section leaders need to arrive at 12 noon on Monday, Aug. 1 for leadership training before band camp begins. All other students must arrive at 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 1.

Lockney Senior Center News

Body The Lockney Senior Citizens Center invites everyone for free exercise classes. Classes will be held every Monday and Wednesday at 5 p.m. A certified Zumba instructor will lead class that is designed for everyone at any fitness level.

Floydada Senior Citizens News

Body The Center will have a fundraiser on Friday, Aug. 5. The menu includes 4 chicken strips, cream gravy, Texas toast, cole slaw and dessert. Minimum donation is $8 per plate, but we will happily accept a larger amount. Delivery or carry-out. We will serve start from 11 a.m.–1 pm.
