Lockney Lowe’s abruptly closes doors

Body The Lowe’s grocery store in Lockney, which was in the process of transitioning into a Food King location, instead closed its doors November 5 and has not reopened, leaving the community without a grocer.

Body The Lockney Independent School Board trustees approved retention stipends for employees during its October meeting. The funds had been previously budgeted by the district with the board approving $1,000 for full-time employees and $500 for part-time employees.
