Record-breaking snowfall blankets West Texas

Body After a prolonged period of dry weather, which is not uncommon during the winter in West Texas, things took a dramatic turn. The instigating feature was a potent mid-upper level storm system that dropped into the Desert Southwest, then directed itself toward Texas.

Floydada Chamber names Business, Citizen of the Year at banquet

Body The Floydada Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture, at its annual banquet Jan. 19, bestowed honors on one well known citzen who’s won their top award before—and one legacy business that’s never won it in all their many decades of existence.
