Body DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME officially begins Sunday, March 12 at 2 a.m. The clocks will spring forward one hour giving more hours of daylight during the spring and summer months. FLOYDADA AND LOCKNEY ISD students will have spring break on Mon., March 13– Fri., March 17.

Body A total of 139 participants competed in the Regional powerlifting meet held Saturday, March 4, in Shamrock. Lockney powerlifter Annalicia Hernandez placed 3rd and finished with 850 total points. She squatted 350, benched 175 and deadlifted 325.

Body The 51st Bob Wills Day is slated for Turkey, Texas, April 27-29, and organizers have announced the lineup for this year. Thursday night will feature Billy Mata and The Texas Tradition kicking off the event with a night of dancing.

Body THE FLOYD COUNTY PIONEER ASSOCIATION will be meeting at 6 p.m., Monday, March 13 at the First Texas National Bank Community Room to discuss plans for Old Settlers Reunion that will be held Saturday, May 27. A meeting has also been scheduled for 6 p.m. on Monday, March 27.
