BAND HONORS The Lockney High School Band (grades 8-12) performed at the Greater Southwest Music Festival in Amarillo -- a 4-day Festival with around 80 entries each year. Their rating system is 3, 2, 1 (the best is 1 at UIL) and a 'O' designation as the very top rating (stands for 'Outstanding') reserved for the best performances. An average decline of -0.71 feet was calculated in the groundwater levels of the Ogallala/Edwards-Trinity (High Plains) Aquifer (ETHP) from 2022 to 2023.
