Body The Floyd County Soil and Water District recently hosted a poster and an essay contest for local elementary school students. Third, fourth and fifth grades participated in the poster contest; fifth grade also participated in the essay contest.

Body A friend of mine doesn’t spend money on divorces. Over time she’s saved a lot in legal fees. Let’s call her Jerri. She did get a lawyer for her first divorce—fee $150. Jerri paid with her bartending tip money—quarters she’d collected in a big Crown Royal bottle.

Lockney Senior Center News

Body The Center is open FIVE days a week. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. If you are a shut-in or have a loved one that needs meals, please call the center to set up delivery. Everyone of any age is welcome to come eat at the Center.

Body At the Floydada Collegiate ISD February Board Meeting students and staff were honored for their hard work. Students of the Month recognized from Duncan Collegiate Elementary were first graders, Alexander Machado and Hadlee Cornelius.
