Body NEW DUMPSTERS The City of Floydada is in the process of changing sanitation services. You will notice new dumpsters being placed in the alley ways. The new sanitation company is named Windhouse. They will begin servicing the city in November.

Punkin’ Days 2024 one of largest on record

Body Many of the organizers of one of the South Plains’ most popular fall festivals each year were toddlers themselves back when Floydada first conceived of a Pumpkin Festival 34 years ago, to celebrate one of its flourishing fall agricultural products.

Floyd commission approves overtime pay for election workers, if needed, in October meeting

Body In the regular monthly meeting of the Floyd County Commissioners Court Oct. 15, 2024, the court held a discussion on placing SB 22 funds in separate account to keep track of accrued interest. A motion was made to this effect by Nathan Johnson and seconded by David Martinez.
