Whirlwinds finish off Hornets to take season opener

Week one of Texas high school football in August is arguably anticipated more than Christmas in December. The Floydada Whirlwinds welcomed a few gifts Friday night and came away with a seasonopening 27-19 victory over the Tulia Hornets.
