The Floydada baseball program will open postseason play Friday with a best-of-three series against New Home while the Lady Whirlwinds softball team claimed a bi-district championship over the weekend.
The Lady Winds (25-5 overall) opened postseason play with a series against Post and rolled to 18-1 and 22-2 victories to clinch the Class 2A best-of-three series.
