GUSTS CAUSE DISRUPTIONS ACROSS REGION

They say the month of March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb.

The lion was roaring Friday, March 14, as wind gusts reached damaging speeds of 80+ miles per hour across the Hesperian-Beacon coverage area and throughout West Texas. The record-breaking wind speeds caused property damage, grass fires, fatal vehicle accidents and power outages across New Mexico, the Texas Panhandle and Oklahoma.
