  • MAKING HISTORY The Lady Winds will play Clarendon in the Regional Finals. The first game will be held at 6 p.m.,Friday, May 16 at Canyon High School Softball Field (1005 21st Street, Canyon, TX.).   • ADVANCES TO STATE Floydada’s Brittney Machado has punched her ticket to the State Academic UIL meet in Austin. She is a state finalist in the Barbara Jordan Historical Essay contest where her essay is in the top 6 in the entire state. Her essay will be judged and officially archived at the University of Texas in May. The UIL Academic State Meet will be held on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin on Monday, May 19 and Tuesday, May 20. | FLOYDADA CISD
