The Floydada Volunteer Fire Department was called to the scene of a house fire on Sunday, Jan. 2. The home was located in the 600 block of Main Street.
Floydada fire chief Chad Guthrie said the fire started around 11 a.m. The house was in the process of being remodeled but was vacant. The home is considered a total loss.
