SPC to offer Youth Acting Class starting Sept. 14

Body South Plains College announces Youth Acting Classes for youngsters ages 7 to 15. The class will meet on Tuesdays from Sept. 14 through Dec. 7 at 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Room 143 of the Creative Arts building.

Lockney Elementary School to hold Scholastic Book Fair

Floydada 9th graders start dual-credit classes

Body FLOYDADA COLLEGIATE HIGH SCHOOL ninth graders met virtually last Friday with Professor Baker from South Plains College to get ready to start their dual credit EDUC 1300 Educational Strategies class, which started Monday, Aug. 31.

Floydada XC teams start season at WTAMU

Body The Floydada Whirlwinds and Lady Winds cross country teams started their crosscountry season running at the West Texas A&M Twilight meet. Sophomore Reese Hinsley led the Whirlwinds, finishing in 13th place with a time of 13:54.57. Freshman Brae Balesteros ran a 15:21.
