Body After a season filled with achievements, it should come as no surprise that the Floydada boys basketball team earned its share of postseason accolades that were announced Saturday. Abran Castillo was tabbed co-MVP of District 4-2A, and Braun Hobbs was named co-defensive MVP.

Body Was held March 2-4 at Wester Field. There were eight teams competing during the tournament. Tournament winners were: first place, Dimmitt Bobcats; second place, Muleshoe Mules; third place, Floydada Whirlwinds; consolation champs, Seagraves Eagles.

Body The Lady Horns and Longhorns have a dirt diamond on their minds now as they both finished the week in tournament play. The Lady Horns started the week hosting Crosbyton and run-ruled them after three innings with a score of 18-4.

Body Winds opened their softball season on Monday, Feb. 13 at the Lady Winds Field against the Dimmitt Bobbies and came away with the big victory, 15-4. Kyra Segura would not be denied at the plate when runners were on base driving in five runs on three hits to lead the Lady Winds.
