Floydada Futures 14u softball team goes 6-0 and wins “Appreciation Tournament” in Brownfield

Body The Floydada Futures 14U softball team competed in and won the USSSA “Appreciation Softball Tournament” held at Brownfield on Saturday, Dec. 9 and Sunday, Dec. 10. The team won six straight games, two pool play games on Saturday and four bracket games on Sunday.

Body The Lockney boys’ basketball team fell 66-51 to Lubbock Roosevelt last week. Despite the loss, Lockney still got an impressive performance from Haygen Lefevre, who scored 16 points. Xavier Jimenez was another key contributor, scoring 9 points

Lockney Elementary finishes 3rd in UIL

Body Lockney had 29 teams compete in last week’s UIL competition which the school hosted. Overall, Lockney was the 3rd place overall team with 477.5 points, only 10 points out of second.
