Spring Livestock Guardian Dog Field Day set for May 1 in San Angelo

Body The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host its 9th annual Spring Livestock Guardian Dog, LGD, Field Day on May 1 in San Angelo from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.The field day will be held at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center at San Angelo, 7887 U.S. Highway 87 North.

Wayland expands reach of Mieth School of Nursing program

Body Wayland Baptist University is expanding the reach of its Ben and Betha Mieth School of Nursing to Plainview by adding an opportunity for local students to complete the Bachelor of Science in Nursing at WBUPlainview upon completion of their pre-nursing coursework.

Lockney organization provides clothes, opportunities to community members

Body The Floyd County Soil and Water Conservation District hosted a poster and essay contest for 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. This year’s theme was “Soil, Where It All Begins.”Each winner was awarded a medal and a cash prize.
