Lady Winds ready for district play

Body Cold weather in February followed by the winds of March have not bothered the Floydada Lady Whirlwinds.Coach Armando Morales has challenged his team this year with an aggressive schedule, and the results are paying off now that district play has started.

Mangold board discusses seeking new member to replace Teeter in January meeting

Body In the regular monthly meeting of the Lockney Hospital District on February 27, 2025, board members discussed possible replacements for Monty Teeter whose third term ends in May 2025. CEO Vincent DiFranco forwarded an application for a candidate who expressed interest.

Lockney keeps city clean “one Saturday at a time”

Body In an ongoing effort to encourage keeping the city of Lockney clean, the city is offering its residential customers a collection station for the proper disposal of household items too large to place in residential dumpsters.
